Crops & Bleeds
Crop marks indicate where the artwork will be cut. When exporting your artwork for print, please ensure to include crops.
Bleeds are the parts of the artwork that extend past the trim line. Since shifting can occur during the printing process, having bleeds ensure that the edges of the finished piece doesn’t have blank white margins. We recommend at least a 1/8″ bleed on all sides of the artwork.
Safety Margins
Some shift may happen during the printing process, in order to avoid having important content cut off, it's pertinent to keep your content at least 1/8" away from the trim line.
Colour
Artwork should be supplied in CMYK. RGB or Pantone colours will be converted and may not match the colours you intend.
Image Resolution
Photos or any rasterized imagery should be 300 dpi minimum.
File Format
The preferred file format for print is PDF.

What is High Gloss UV and Matte Dull Coating?
High Gloss UV Coating is a liquid coating dried by ultraviolet lights (UV) onto the printed piece after printing the images to increase the sheen and reflection.
Matte Dull finish is the opposite of UV coating in which light reflection is reduced. With this finish the colours and images are toned down.
Should I choose High Gloss UV or Matte Dull Coating?
Great question! It depends on your brand and objectives. High Gloss UV is the right choice when you want your piece to shine brightly.
Matte Dull Coating is the right choice when your brand is less about high brightness. It is also the better option when you need to be able to write on it. Not all, but most standard ink pens can write on a printed piece that has a matte dull coating on it. It is also the better option if you want to reduce fingerprints.
What should I include on my rack card?
It depends on your objective. We generally recommend you include your logo, a headline, some image elements, a url, and a way to contact you. If you want the prospect to engage in some form a call to action is always a good idea!
Do you offer other sizes for Rack Cards?
Yes, we can offer alternative sizes. These sizes are the most common, but if you would like your rack cards printed at a different size, please submit a custom quote request and we'd be happy to provide you with the cost.
